An element of the Jefferson County Non-Motorized Transportation & Recreational Trails Plan, the Rick Tollefson Memorial Trail serves pedestrians, bicyclists, and other active users of all ages for recreation and transportation. The new trail is a scenic and educational enhancement that meets the needs of a broad range of community members by featuring artist-illustrated interpretive signage and a rest area with seating. A new trail bridge was constructed for the crossing of Chimacum Creek. Future phases will create a continuous three mile family-friendly connection between the communities of Chimacum and Port Hadlock.
