Myrtle Reservoir Park

>The lidding of this West Seattle Reservoir created open space for family-oriented activities. The park includes viewpoints, ADA accessible strolling paths, tot and children’s play areas, and a large grassy play area. A mini bioswale and rain garden collects surface stormwater runoff from the adjacent grassy lawns. Siting a play area and ADA compliant path connecting it to the hilltop view point on this steeply sloping site posed a major challenge. Grading of the ADA walking path under 5 percent was achieved by circling it around the hillside. Benches provide resting points along the path.
