Nakano Associates designed this neighborhood park to appeal to the whole family. Friendly Grove Park provides recreation opportunities ranging from picnic areas and walking paths to children’s play areas, skate spot, tennis court, and basketball court, all interspersed with public art. The four-acre park sits on a fourteen acre open space, much of which is protected critical wetland area.
Friendly Grove Park features grassy meadows for informal play. The recreational features including the play area are clustered near the entrance to the park and parking area for accessibility and safety. The picnic shelter creates a festive setting for private and community gatherings. A walking path offers a scenic stroll through the meadows and groves of the park, with picnic sites, benches, and public art along the way.
