Working with the management at Seattle Center, Nakano Associates and Weinstein Architects developed a new defined entrance for the Seattle Center along Broad Street. Along the street, a new promenade is bordered by a seat wall edged with planting areas containing thousands of tulips that lend spring color. At night the seat wall is illuminated with a continuous blue LED light. A linear stormwater planter helps detain and clean stormwater runoff from the sidewalk.
The promenade will eventually extend to the Experience Music Project.
