Aaron Parker, MLA, Associate
Aaron approaches design as an opportunity to use conscious social and environmental practices to benefit our growing and changing urban environment. He comes to Nakano Associates with a professional background environmental education, outdoor recreation, and urban agriculture. A recent graduate of the University of Washington, Aaron focused his thesis work on developing a community lead visioning document to promote environmental and economic resilience in South Seattle during and after the ST3 light rail development. The study included a focus on ‘health, economics, displacement, and the benefits of green space in deprived urban areas.’4 Though his prior landscape design experience has been work for design/build firms focusing on residential and commercial projects, he has developed a passion for public spaces and working for communities to better provide essential public resources.
Outside of work Aaron can be found exploring the Pacific Northwest rock climbing or biking around town during the summer and ski touring and enjoying the beautiful snow in the winter.
