Canton Alley Revitalization Moves Forward

Since 2012 Nakano Associates and Framework Cultural Placemaking have been working with SCIDpda (Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation Authority) and the Chinatown community to improve historic alleyways in Chinatown as safe and attractive places for pedestrians. The project is breaking new ground for making use of a previously neglected alley with amazing potential and character to create a multi-functional public space that complements the neighborhood.
The project has received funding through several City of Seattle and WSDOT grants including the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhood Grant.
